St. Paul's The Manor on Bankers Hill is within walking distance to Balboa Park, the jewel of San Diego and has a fine reputation for being a safe, comfortable and caring community.
The Manor's residents enjoy a very active lifestyle in this independent setting. They can join in with others in an activity, or just take off by themselves for a walk to the park. If someone has an idea for a new activity or club, it an be added to the monthly calendar, which appears in the center of our own newsletter, Manor Matters, which was created and is edited by our own Residents' Association members.
More than half of the people who live here were referred by other residents, their family or friends -- a great indication that this is a welcoming place and full of heart. The Residents' Association, along with The Manor's Activity Coordinator, have helped to develop many activities, such as a Light Opera company, a fierce bowling league, trip to plays, live music programs, wine and coffee tastings, and visits to various iconic spots in and around San Diego. There is always something to do here, from walking the dog to the dog park (yes, we are pet friendly), yoga classes and movies, the writer's club, lectures on health topics to just taking it easy in our well-stocked library.
